VCU are led by 6'9 senior forward Jamie Skeen, a versatile and athletic 6'9 somewhat tweenerish forward who leads the team with 15.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. Skeen can score around the basket, or face-up from the mid-range area and either shoot the jumpshot or drive the ball via a spin move. He's also a better passer than his 1.6 assists per game suggest, can hit the occasional three, defends the interior well, and has gotten stronger since leaving Wake Forest. Skeen was dismissed from Wake Forest for "academic rules violations," which is rather worrying, but that doesn't matter now.
