The backcourt is headed up by Logan and Brazilian national team main stay Marcelinho Huertas. The book on Huertas is well written by now; he will run 146 pick-and-roll sets on you in a game, and there's not an awful lot you can do about it. Huertas leads the ACB in assists with 5.9 a game, and his 5.5 in Euroleague play rank second only to Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos - this is all the more impressive when you consider that his main pick-and-roll option, Tiago Splitter, now backs up DeJuan Blair and Antonio McDyess. Alongside him, Logan plays the role of the scorer, the athletic undersized scoring guard who can get to the rim, finish, score in isolation, and hit jumpshots off the dribble, as well as off of curls. Additionally, with the early onset of male pattern baldness now impossible to conceal, Logan no longer feels he should wear his headband at an angle so steep that it was almost vertical. Nobody sweats at that angle, and we weren't fooled.

In Cyprus, North Carolina State streak shooter Courtney Fells has switched teams, going from AEL Limassol to Keravnos. Hopefully next season, statistics from Cyprus will be available. Israeli team Bnei Hasharon have signed Dan Grunfeld - one time Knick and Ernie's Romanian son - to pair up alongside former Alabama guard Ron Steele and former Duquesne forward Shawn James, the latter of whom led Israel in blocked shots by quite a long way. And Polish Euroleague team Prokom Gydnia elected to keep former NBA guard Daniel Ewing, helping to offset the loss of David Logan, whom they could not retain. Logan is reportedly about to sign with Caja Laboral; if he does, it'll be a pretty lucrative gig, as Caja Laboral just won the ACB.

- David Logan
Logan continues to play in Poland with Asseco Prokom Gdynia, and is also now a member of Polish national team. He is in his second season with the team, and averaging 17.4 points and 4.8 assists in Polish league play. Logan also averaged 15.3 points and 3.4 assists in Euroleague play, making him one of the Euroleague's highest scorers this year. Not bad for a man from Division 2 University of Indianapolis.
David Logan fact: David Logan wears his headband at an angle that mimics Scott Skiles's hairline. He seems to believe it is possible for a man to sweat at that angle. It is not. Someone should make a list of players who wear their headband in a stupid way. I'll start; David Logan, Wayne Chism, Reggie Jackson of Boston College, Bulls-era Eddie Robinson, DeShawn Stevenson........chime in.
